Simply can not afford a solicitor but am scared of what I will get if I don't use one as have nobody to fight my side. My partner got arrested last night cos he failed to go to court regarding benefit fraud a year ago (he never received the letter telling him to go to court so they issued a warrant for his arrest) Im scared that this has ruined our future!
Hello Jo ~ I am one of the parent supporters and help out on this board for a few hours each week It is a shame that you have found yourself in this situation - it sounds as though it is a stressful time for you now that you know that you have been asked to attend court.

Don't understand why you would tell them he was, can you prove he wasn't and go to court and explain that you were under pressure from them to say he was?
I got a conditional discharge for 12 months and had to pay court fees of 100.

He has done so much crap in the past, we currently have social services involved and I'm scared he has ruined our future for good.
But he did pay my rent from that time as I was in a lot of financial difficulties and he owned his house with no mortage/rent to pay.
Because of this I was apparently committing fraud to do with my income support.

So scared about the actually going to court that I shake just thinking about it and the thought of losing my daughter. I don't understand this There were times when I was on benefits when I was ill after having my daughter and was claiming hb and income support and my Mum helped me financially.
